Some people seem to spend most of their lives programming, tweaking,
adjusting, experimenting,  revising and restoring their phone systems.

On the other hand, if you just want to get your system working with the basic
important features, follow the instructions on this page, and you should be
in good shape in about an hour.

---------------------------------

Your Allworx system has built-in Windows software that is accessed with a PC running
a web browser, such as IE 5.0 or higher or Mozilla Firefox.

The LAN IP address is 192.168.2.254.

DHCP is enabled.

The default password is admin.

You can connect your PC to the 6X in three different ways:

  1. Connect directly to the LAN port on the 6X,.
  2. Connect to a port on an Ethernet switch, where another port is connected to
    the 6X.
  3. Connect to a data port on an Allworx phone connected to the 6X.

------------------------------------------

Once you have connected your PC to the 6X, you should get an IP address on
screen:
